In plain language: what this site keeps, why, where, and for how long. The short version: very little, only for this project, and never for advertising or tracking.
Last updated 23 September 2026.
Who we are
This site belongs to Ejagham Research, a research project by Ekaba Bisong, SiliconBlast. Ekaba is responsible for the data it holds.
If you write to us
When you send the contact form, we store:
- your name, the email address or phone number you give, what your message is about, and your message;
- when it was sent;
- a keyed hash of your IP address (see below), used only to stop the form being flooded.
We use this only to reply to you and to follow up on what you wrote about. Only Ekaba reads the messages.
If you are an evaluator
Evaluators have accounts, created by Ekaba (nobody can sign up on the site). For each account we store:
- an evaluator code (such as A1), which is how you appear everywhere in the research data;
- the work you do: your ratings, translations, reviews and comments;
- timings: how long the work takes, for your pay and for the study;
- your consent, including the name you type to sign it and whether you wish to be credited by name. Your name is visible only to Ekaba and never appears in the research data.
Your password is stored only as a secure hash that nobody, including Ekaba, can read back.
IP addresses
We never store IP addresses themselves. Where the site needs to recognise repeated requests, to limit sign-in attempts or contact messages, it keeps only a keyed hash of the address, which cannot be turned back into it.
Cookies and tracking
There are no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies on this site, and no third-party scripts.
The only cookie is a sign-in cookie for evaluators, set when they sign in and removed when they sign out. If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is remembered in your own browser and is never sent to us.
Where the data is kept
The site is hosted by Vercel, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany. The database is run by Neon, also in Frankfurt, in the European Union.
How long we keep it
We keep contact messages and evaluator data for [RETENTION PERIOD], then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to us through the contact form, and say what you would like us to do.
