Privacy
This page explains what the DermAI site keeps and why.
Visitors
The public pages set no cookies and use no analytics, advertising or tracking. Fonts and scripts are served from this site, so your browser does not contact other companies when you visit. If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is stored in your own browser only.
Consultants taking part in the studies
Consultant accounts are created by the study team; there is no public sign-up. When you sign in, the site sets one cookie that keeps you signed in. It holds a random token, is sent only to this site and lasts seven days from your last visit or until you sign out.
The site stores your consultant code, your name as you asked us to show it, your password in a form that cannot be read back, and the answers you give with the time you spent on each image. To protect accounts from attack, it also keeps a scrambled form of your network address and the name of your browser, never the address itself.
Your answers are used only for the research. Publications report them without names, and the study team decides with the consultants how the data are shared.
Images
The workbench shows clinical images from public research collections. It contains no images or records of patients seen by the study team.
